QA practical test (part 1)

The QA role mostly requires technical testing and automation, however for our first practical test we'll be looking at some of your more general skills:

• Ability to learn to work with the app quickly
• Dedication to solving customer problems

Out of respect for your time, we ask that you spend no more than 2 hours on this task.

Preparation

In preparation for this test please download and install the 'Invoice Simple' app on your iOS and Android devices. Please note that the iOS and Android apps have different UI and subtle differences.

Then spend a few minutes getting to know the app and it's functionality.

Question

Write responses to the following customer questions.

These are real-world questions from the 'support chat' feature in the mobile apps, which means that users already have our app installed.

We expect your responses to solve customer problems. Please spend some time with the mobile app so you can give correct and useful responses.

1- I'm looking for an app to send bids out, then once I get the work then invoice. How do I send bids?

2- Hi how do I transfer details to a new phone?
- Mark

3- I want client phone numbers to appear on printed invoices, do you have that capability? I'm using the Android version.

4- Hi Alex.
I'm only just starting to explore the app, but i need to create an invoice of freelance hours worked, laid out with the amount of hours worked each day. Is it possible to do this with the app? Even if it's just a list of each date and units.
- Gabrielle
